Booking Information
All treatments are approximately 1 hour, except where indicated. Any combination of acupuncture, massage, cupping and herbal consultation can be included in your treatment if needed. All major health funds offer rebates for acupuncture services. On the spot rebates are available automatically via our HealthPoint system for the majority of health funds. Gap payments can be made via EFTPOS. Rebate rates vary widely depending on your fund and your level of cover. If you are unsure, please contact your health fund directly to check your level of cover. Acupuncture
The insertion of fine, single use sterile disposable needles into specific points on the surface of the body.The purpose of acupuncture is to help normalise physiological functions of the body or modify the perception of pain.
Remedial Massage and Acupressure
To help reduce muscular tension and pain and ease stress. Other techniques such as myofascial release and pnf stretches may be also be used if needed.
Electro-acupuncture
A battery operated device attached to the acupuncture needles, used for stronger pain relief.
Point injection therapy
The injection of sterile saline using a hypodermic needle mostly for painful inflammatory conditions.
Moxibustion
The burning of herbal Artemisia sticks to warm the acupuncture points.
Infrared heat lamp
To increase circulation to injured areas and promote soft tissue repair.
Cupping
The application of plastic suction cups to help reduce muscular tension and pain. Soft silicon cups are also used as a form of myofascial release.
Gua sha
Rubbing the skin with a gua massage tool to improve circulation to the soft tissues.
